--2024 SUMMER YOUTH PROGRAM: Open for players age 5 (by June 1st) thru 9th grade (entering in the fall). Please remember to make note during registration for any special requests as these may not be considered once teams are formed (for example to have siblings on the same team or if your child desires to play up an age level). Registration fees are $75/player. This program runs 2 nights/wk. We are anticipating practices will tentatively start the week of May 20th and run thru mid July, ending with the Championship Cup Day Saturday July 20th when U11/14 teams will be playing. U6/8 tentatively scheduled for Tues/Thursday nights and U11/14 Monday and Thursday nights. Games on Thursday nights expecting to start June 6th. MYSA is participating again in the K99 Radio Auction which will be held Saturday January 27th.
--4 YEAR-OLD MINI KICK PROGRAM: The 4 year old Mini Kicks Program is $30/player and will tentatively run 1 night per week in June (total 4 nights; day of week to be determined).
---CONSIDER VOLUNTEERING!: Almost the entire MYSA program is directed and carried out by volunteers. Please consider volunteering your time in support of your player and our community youth. There is a spot during the registration process to volunteer for the below roles so please consider!! Make sure you scroll down during registration to see all options.
Coaching: We are anticipating a high need for head coaches and assistants and NO experience is needed! A coach clinic will be provided prior to the start of the season for all volunteer coaches and will be specific to different age levels. If we only have minimal volunteers, then that means less number of teams and bigger team sizes. Long story short, it means kids do not get much playing time as playing time needs to be divided between all the players. So PLEASE consider volunteering and sign up when registering your player! If you know of another parent or friend that you would like to coach a team with, have them sign up also and request to be together. Volunteers do not have to have a child playing in order to help coach. The sooner we know our volunteers, the sooner we can set teams and schedule.
Board Members: We are looking for new MYSA board members. The board meets one time per month throughout the year to keep the program running and explore ways to help it grow and improve (typically 3rd Sunday of the month 6:00 at P&Es Steakhouse). We value all time and input! Knowledge of soccer is NOT required! If we want to continue to offer soccer to our youth in our community in the future, we need more assist going forward. Please consider! Next meeting is this coming Sunday January 21st.
Champion Cup Day: Saturday July 20th. This is a great way to wrap up the season! Teams in U11 and U14 will be playing for the championship titles. Games will be running throughout the day and all players and families (from all age groups) are invited to attend to watch games, enjoy concessions and multiple other activities that will be offered. If interested in assisting with activities for part of the day, volunteer!
Concessions: We are planning to offer concessions on game nights (Thursdays) at Raider Field. To help make this successful, we need volunteers throughout the season. Consider volunteering in this way.
SUMMER SOCCER CAMPS: MYSA will be hosting 2 soccer day camps this summer. Challenger Sports Soccer Camp (as last summer) will be held June 3-7 for ages 6-14 and TetraBrazil Soccer Camp (also thru Challenger Sports) will be held July 22-26 for ages 10-18. Half and full day options are available. The first camp is offered to interested players early in the summer season to allow them to continue to develop and use their skills during the remainder of the season. The second camp is for those older players for further practice & development, especially beneficial to those boys who are planning to play middle school or highschool soccer in the fall (which starts in August). You can also consider hosting a coach for that week. Please visit the following sites to learn more details and to register.
